Wine In A Can Australia: 42 Different Canned Wines
Wine in cans is a relatively new concept but is fast gaining traction.
In the USA it currently represents over $40 million dollars of sales annually, and in both the USA and the UK sales have increased significantly, up 43% and 30% respectively from in 2018.
Australia often follows international trends within the international wine industry so the volume of wine in cans, while tiny at the moment, is gaining traction quickly and will explode over the next 12-24 months.
We recently wrote about the benefits of wine in cans compared to bottles and over the last 6 months the number of wine in cans has doubled, with most recent entrants, like Jacobs Creek. When larger established brands like this enter the market you can expect to see an increase in advertising and general awareness that wine in cans are available.

Description: Mascareri is an ode to the elite mask maker’s guild of Venice. “Those who made the Venetian masks at the age of the Serenissima were the "Mascareri", associated in the Arte dei Maschereri since 1436.” Mascareri enjoyed a prominent and well respected position within society, and lived lavish and extravagant lifestyles (similar to the art they created). Originally only 11 people were within the mascherer community including one woman.
A bright pale yellow colour with fine, gentle bubbles. The nose is fresh and inviting with delicate aromas of ripe yellow apple, melon and pear overlaid floral notes. The palate dispays pure stone fruit and baked apple flavours, again very fresh, against a soft and smooth background with nicely balanced natural fruit sweetness.
