The Brewquets Story: 2015 to Today

One thing we have realised over time is that not everyone knows our story, so here it is....
The Early Days
It was 2015 when our original founder, Anna Jackson, while on maternity leave, concocted the idea which was to become Brewquets.
The objective was to answer the age-old problem: what do you send someone who just isn’t into flowers?
Armed with that question she landed on the idea of a Beer Bouquet and created the “Brewquet”. An intentional play on words between brew and bouquet.
On April Fools day 2016 (no joke) she launched in Sydney with the 3 Beer Brewquet. A simple but thoughtful gift that was perfect for those who weren’t into flowers (mostly men!).

After a year at the helm Anna decided to hand over the reins and sell the business to Ryan T. and Ryan N. who were working in the business. Fast forward another year and with some growth, a great Valentine’s Day in 2018 and exposure on the Sunrise morning show Ryan and Ryan decided the business needed another steward to guide it into the future.
After an exchange of emails to a variety of possible suitors the founders of Beer Cartel purchased the business almost exactly 2 years to the day from when it was founded (April 10th 2018).
At the time the co-founders of Beer Cartel, Geoff & Richard, (who are still at the helm of both businesses) had experienced success with their beer gifting range and were looking to create a separate business that was solely focused on alcohol gifting. Needless to say the purchase was timely and a perfect fit.

2018 to Today
Since 2018 Geoff, Richard and the team have set out to continue growing the business. In 2019 they launched the Valentine’s Dozen Brews and the Long Stem Brews which turned out to be extremely popular. Similar to Anna’s original focus, these were designed to be the beer equivalent of a long stem / dozen roses that are traditionally given on Valentine’s Day.
So popular were these new products that the range was extended with the likes of the Beer-thday, Thank You, Father’s Day and Christmas Dozen. These are now some of Brewquets best sellers and have been received by tens of thousands of lucky recipients around Australia.
Over the years the range has continued to expand as we drive to deliver on our mission of creating a great alcohol gifting business which is simple purchase from and creates unique gifting experiences for the recipients.
We now offer gifts not only with beer but also wine, champagne and cider. You can also customise your gift with a great range of add-ons to tailor the gift perfectly for the recipient.
